Considering Guests with Disabilities When Planning Meetings and Events
This presentation, intended for anyone involved in planning private or public events at the University, will cover information on wheelchair access locations, sign language interpreters, special AV supports, print materials presented in different formats for persons with visual impairments and more. Detailing a meeting, seminar or conference can be a special skill and require unique knowledge and resources, especially when guests or speakers indicate special needs. Positive, proactive planning can make a tremendous difference in reducing the "last minute" rush to pull together resources that may be required.
