Understanding Database Design

Software classes such as Access show you how to create databases, but the foundation of a solid database is in the design. This class will provide database scenarios and discuss multiple ways to design the database.

Topics include:
• Learning how to create Process Maps and Data Flow Charts
• Using theoretical case studies to design databases
• Understanding the use of Primary and Foreign Keys
• Discussing Relationship Theory
